App Editor Overview

The App Editor allows you to manage and publish content across one or more apps and websites using a simple drag-and-drop system. Content is structured into blocks called Sections, which you can assign to various Screens in multiple languages and apps simultaneously.

Open this page in the Dashboard: Dashboard > Imports > Main Screens

Overview

1. Select Screen Type

Start by choosing the type of screen you’d like to edit:

  • Main Screens: Core pages like Home, News, or Video tabs.

  • Detail Screens: Sub-pages for specific content (e.g., podcasts, livestreams, playlists).

Go to Screen Types to learn more about Main vs. Detail Screens.

2. Choose App, Language, and Screen

Once you select a Screen Type, define where the content should appear:

  • App: Select which app you want to manage.

  • Language: If your app supports multiple content languages, select the one you wish to edit. Go to Languages to learn more about Content Language vs. System Language.

  • Screen: Choose the exact Main or Detail Screen. In Detail Screens, you can publish to all content of one type (e.g., all Podcasts) or a specific item (e.g., one Podcast series).

3. Section List (Right Sidebar)

The Section list is your library of reusable content blocks.
You can:

  • Create a new Section using the red + button.

  • Search for existing Sections.

  • Edit a Section using the pencil icon.

  • Permanently delete a Section using the X icon.

4. Mobile Mockup (Drag & Drop Area)

The mobile mockup preview lets you organize your screen content visually:

  • Drag Sections from the list into the mockup.

  • Rearrange Sections freely by dragging them up or down.

  • Hover over a Section to:

    • Edit via the pencil icon.

    • Remove from the screen via the X icon (this only removes it from the current screen - not the system).

Note: Sections for Main Screens and Detail Screens are not interchangeable, even if they look similar. The right-hand Section list automatically adapts based on screen type.

5. Push Changes (Publish Updates)

Use the Push Changes button to make your edits live. This will clear the cache and update content on user platforms. Do not click this button repeatedly - wait for the cache to update.

To preview:

  • In the app: Pull-to-refresh or fully restart the app.

  • On the website: Refresh the page or use incognito mode for a clean view.

Changes may take a few minutes to appear.
