Before you begin editing in the App Editor, make sure the correct content language is selected in the dropdown. Otherwise, your changes will not appear in the desired version of your platform.
Content Language
What it is:
Content language refers to the language in which editorial content is created and published - this includes articles, videos, audio content such as livestreams, podcasts, and playlists.
Where it applies:
Articles and text descriptions
Video and audio metadata
Section titles and content shown in the app and website
Key points:
Each app screen (e.g. Home, News, Playlist Detail) is linked to a specific content language.
If you support multiple content languages, you must manually create and manage content for each language version.
For example: An article must be written separately in English and Spanish if you want to display it to users in both languages.
This also applies to any visual layout or section-based content. Sections are created and managed per content language.
The active content language is automatically detected based on the user's smartphone or browser language.
If a user's preferred language is not supported, the default system language is shown.
System Language
Content and system languages serve different purposes. System language is defined during onboarding and cannot be changed independently in the Dashboard. It's important to understand how they work together to provide a localized and consistent user experience.
What it is:
System language defines the language of all user interface elements that are hard-coded into the app or website. These include buttons, menus, dialog boxes, pop-ups, labels, and system-generated messages.
Where it applies:
Main navigation (e.g. "Settings", "For Me")
Button labels (e.g. "Play", "Submit")
System pop-ups and app dialogs
Legal screen labels
Key points:
Audiospace provides fully localized interface translations for English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
The active system language is automatically detected based on the user's smartphone or browser language.
If a user's preferred language is not supported, the default system language is shown (usually English).
System language is global and not connected to the content language settings.
