The Track Metadata Page provides additional details about your audio tracks, including unique identifiers such as ISRC or UPC codes. These details are either automatically generated during an automated track import or manually created during a song upload. You can edit these details at any time.
Open this page in the Dashboard: Dashboard > Audio > Library
Click on track artist or title and select "Meta Data" on the Track Detail menu
1. Audio Type
Change the type of your audio file to one of the following options: Music, Jingle, AD, or Podcast. This choice affects the track’s behavior in the player:
Music: Default type; applicable for standard music tracks.
Jingle/AD: Cannot be skipped in playlists by users.
Podcast: For podcast episodes.
Choosing the correct type is crucial for proper playlist behavior and music reporting. Ensure the type reflects the content accurately.
2. Track Metadata Information
Track metadata includes specific details that help in identifying and categorizing your audio files. Metadata is automatically generated for Music tracks and can be manually adjusted for all types.
Music (automatically generated during upload if not given):
Album: Name of the album or collection.
Track Number: Position of the song on the album.
Credits: Names of rights holders such as songwriters or producers.
Label: Owner of the music release.
Release Country: Country where the release occurred.
ISRC: International Standard Recording Code; a unique identifier for the track.
UPC: Universal Product Code; identifies the specific music release.
Year: Year the song was created.
Release Date: Date when the track was published.
AD (not automatically generated):
Year: Year the advertisement was created.
Version: Optional designation if the AD is part of a multi-ad campaign.
Jingle (not automatically generated):
Year: Year the jingle was created.
Version: Optional designation if the jingle is part of a multi-jingle campaign.
Podcast (not automatically generated):
Year: Year the podcast episode was created.
Description: Summary of the episode content, including links.
