Google Analytics Setup: First Steps

Google Analytics is exclusively available in our GROW and PRO plans.

To set up Google Analytics for your app effectively, follow the steps below based on your current Firebase setup. The process varies depending on whether you have a Firebase account, an existing project, or need to create both.


Step 1: Register for Firebase

  1. Create a Google Account (if needed):

    • If you don’t have a Google account, create one at Gmail.

  2. Log In to Firebase:

Step 2: Set Up a Firebase Project

  1. Log In to Firebase:

  2. Create a New Firebase Project:

    • Click on "Get started with a Firebase project".

    • Enter the app name as the Firebase project name.

    • Review and accept the terms and conditions.

Step 3: Invite Us as a Firebase Admin

  1. Select Your Project:

    • Click on the project you created in Step 2.

  2. Access Project Settings:

    • Click the settings icon in the top-left corner and select “Users and permissions”.

  3. Add Us as a Member:

    • Click “Add member” and enter our email address: [email protected].

    • Assign the “Owner” role to ensure we have full access to manage the project.

Important Notes:

  • Firebase Account: Ensure you are logged into the correct Google account when accessing Firebase.

  • Project Name: The name you choose for the Firebase project should match the app’s name for consistency.

  • Permissions: Assign the correct role to ensure we can perform the necessary setup and management tasks.
